The Nova Tribe Community Association

The Nova Tribe Community Association was established in December 2023, following the events of October 7. The Association’s objective is to provide a comprehensive and long-term response for the survivors of the parties that took place in the South, for their families, for the bereaved families, and for those who were brought back from captivity.

The Association’s work is based on direct contact with the community, and on a deep understanding that the recovery and rehabilitation process does not look the same for everyone, and that a personalized response will be required for each person or family.

Rehabilitation and support for survivors

The Association provides a broad range of support for survivors and community members, in order to enable each and every person to rebuild a routine, and to reestablish a sense of stability and of belonging. This includes therapeutic and rehabilitative responses, accompaniment in crisis situations, referral to treatment frameworks, stabilization houses and rehab centers, along with the provision of assistance in exercising rights and obtaining financial support. In addition, the Association operates programs for developing resilience and strengthening independence – including community meetings, retreats, sports and nature activities, as well as vocational training and employment solutions.

Accompanying the bereaved families

A significant and central part of the Association’s activities is dedicated to accompanying the bereaved families, with the understanding that the process of coping with loss is long, variable and complex.

The Association accompanies the families and provides support groups and meetings, joint activities that enable community connection, and comprehensive assistance in exercising rights, seeking out therapeutic solutions and finding responses for financial needs.

Along the way, the Association acts on the basis of its commitment to an acknowledgement of the need to be together as a community, along with a recognition of the unique needs of each family.

Commemoration, Advocacy and the Preservation of Memory

Commemorating those murdered at the Nova Festival is a core objective of the Association, pursued through direct engagement with the families and with full respect for the way each family chooses to remember and commemorate their loved ones.

The Association supports various commemoration initiatives, raises funds for the establishment of the memorial site, and promotes public awareness and outreach activities in Israel and around the world, in order to preserve the memory of those who were murdered and share the story of the community with wider audiences.

Our work continues every day, driven by a commitment to be there for members of the community: to remember, to commemorate, to strengthen, and to help each person find a way forward.
