Website Accessibility Information
“Re’im Parking Lot – Memorial Site” is the official website of the memorial site at the Re’im Parking Lot, established in memory of the victims, fallen soldiers, and casualties in and around the parking lot area on October 7, 2023. The website is operated by Amir Khodorov.
The website strives to provide the general public, including individuals with disabilities, with an optimal, accessible, and user-friendly experience. To this end, efforts have been made to implement adjustments designed to facilitate browsing the website and using the content displayed on it.
The accessibility adjustments on the website have been implemented in accordance with Israeli Standard SI 5568 for internet content accessibility at the AA level, based on the WCAG 2.0 guidelines.
The Essence of an Accessible Website
An accessible website enables individuals with disabilities to browse and use the services and information offered on it with a level of efficiency and comfort similar to that of the general public, using assistive technologies and the accessibility adjustments available in the system and on the website.
Implementation of Accessibility Adjustments on the Website
The accessibility adjustments on the website were performed in accordance with Section G of Chapter E of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 2013, and in accordance with Israeli Standard SI 5568 for internet content accessibility at the AA level, based on WCAG 2.0 guidelines, and subject to the modifications and adjustments set forth in the Israeli standard.
Website Operation and Accessibility Aids
- Keyboard-only navigation capability and easy identification of the focused area.
- Color contrast modification (dark background option).
- Gallery play and pause buttons.
- Link highlighting (activated when changing color contrast).
- Text and background color modifications for individuals with visual impairments and color blindness (activated when changing color contrast).
- Accessible menus, forms, heading hierarchies, tab components, pop-up windows, and more.
- Site map for easy and quick access to various website pages.
- Accessibility statement explaining compliance, gaps, and the accessibility coordinator.
The accessibility adjustments were tested using assistive tools such as various screens and devices, and included the use of NVDA screen reader assistive technology.

Device and Browser Compatibility
The website has been tested on Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox browsers in versions current as of the testing date. In addition, the website has been tested on mobile devices operating on iOS and Android operating systems.

The memorial site has been arranged and prepared by KKL-JNF to enable an accessible and convenient visit for the general public, including individuals with disabilities. The following accessibility arrangements are available at the site:
- Accessible parking spaces near the memorial site.
- Accessible access routes from the parking lot to the memorial complexes and exhibits.
- Paved, regulated, and continuous paths enabling mobility throughout the site, including via wheelchair.
- Accessible access to memorial complexes and exhibits.
- Accessible restrooms.
- Seating and resting areas along the visitor route.
- Signage and guidance throughout the site.
- Permission to enter and stay at the site with a service animal.
- A permanent KKL-JNF team on-site to assist visitors with information and guidance.
To the best of our knowledge, there are no known accessibility limitations at the memorial site.
