The Memorial Trail is the main route for becoming familiar with the site. The Trail is paved, accessible for people with disabilities and for strollers, and it passes through all the memorial displays, study areas and services. The signs posted along the Trail help visitors to find their way around the area, and to easily reach any site from any of the three entrances.
Walking on the Trail allows the visitor to come to know the party area as it was seen that Saturday: the memorial displays are all located at the original spots where the subject of each memorial was located on October 7.
The Trail arrives at the grove area, which served as a sleeping area for the party-attendees and today is the location of commemorative signs in memory of those who were murdered while trying to escape or to find shelter in the parking lot and its surroundings. From there, the trail continues to the adjacent Keren-Kayemeth LeIsrael- Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF) Memorial Forest, where a tree has been planted in memory of each and every one of the murdered and fallen. A personal memorial sign stands alongside each tree.
